What does a 3kW solar power system consist of?
Solar panels
Total capacity: ~3kWp (kilowatt-peak)
Number of panels: usually from 6 panels (depending on the type, each panel is about 580W).
Function: collect sunlight and convert it into DC electricity.
Grid-connected inverter
Capacity: 3kW
Function: convert DC electricity from solar panels into 220V AC electricity (or 380V) suitable for the household grid.
Frame and power cable
Galvanized steel frame or rust-proof aluminum, fixed on the roof, ground or frame.
Power monitoring system
Connected via Wifi or SIM, you can monitor power output via phone, computer.
(Optional) Battery
If using Hybrid or standalone system, there will be a storage, which helps to use electricity at night or when there is a power outage.
